Ruth Ann Huff (Harper), 75 years of age of Lake Station, Indiana, gained her wings on January 3, 2022. Ruth Ann left this world peacefully surrounded by her family. Ruth Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She loved nothing more than taking care of her family, friends, and travelling as much as she could with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a huge Ohio State fan and loved Elvis Presley and never missed an opportunity to go to the Elvis Fest in Portage. She was always enthusiastic to go to all of her great grandchildren’s sporting events, birthday parties, visiting with friends and family. Ruth Ann worked at H&R Block for over 30 years. She was greeted in heaven by her parents Herschel J. and Willa Lorene Harper (Pinkley) , grandson Jonathan Hart, brother Carl Harper, sisters Carolyn Pinkley, and Barbara Gessel. Two special friends Sandra Sims and Vernice (Mickey) Mora. She will now be able to continue her daily lunches and conversations in heaven with her beloved best friends. Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 55 years John A. Huff of Lake Station, Indiana; her children : Tammy Miller of Zanesville, Ohio; Tracy Huff of Lake Station, Indiana; Teresa (Gordon) Whitley of LaPorte, Indiana; Tonya (Ron) Middleton of Wheatfield, Indiana; Tina (Bill) Baker of Lowell, Indiana; and Trudy Keith of Hobart, Indiana; sister Dorothy Thomas of Zanesville, Ohio. Ruth Ann has 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Ruth Ann will be Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Burns (Hobart), Pastor John Starr officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery. www.burnsfuneral.com.
