Richard J. Brown Sr.

Richard Brown, age 77 of Merrillville, IN, passed away on February 15, 2022. He was past President of Merrillville Civitan. Richard was the Grand Knight of the Merrillville Knights of Columbus, Council No. 13003. He also enjoyed boating, motorcycles and working on cars. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother- John Brooks. He is survived by his wife- Lillian Brown, daughter- Sharon (Max) Konowalik, son- Richard Brown, Jr. and his spouse Joseph Lasell, grandson- Larry Konowalik, and his sister- Pam Schuetzenhofer. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. A Knights of Columbus service will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. directly at Holy Martyrs Parish, 801 W. 73rd Ave., Merrillville, IN. Father Ted Mauch officiating.
