Nathan S. Orlando
June 14, 1977 - May 21, 2021
Nathan Samuel Orlando passed away on Friday May 21, 2021 unexpectedly. Nathan was a 1995 graduate of North Newton High School. Nathan was preceded in death by his grandparents and most recently his father Don just 10 months ago. He is survived by his sons Trevor and Hunter, mother Patsy, sister Misty, girlfriend Beth Bartow, brother-in-law Jason all of Demotte, IN. He is also survived by nephews Tyler (Autumn Sunshine), Prestyn (Stephanie Nicole), Gavin, Quentin, and last but definitely not least his weasel Gabriel. He had many cousins and family members and countless friends that he called family. Nathan was a very proud 24 year member of Operating Engineers Local 150. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and just loved to have fun. He loved his dog Yeti and took her everywhere he went. He loved his work family at the Newton County Landfill where he has worked most of his union days. We will all remember Nathan for the ways he could make everyone laugh and smile. He literally could light up the room. We will remember the amazing guitarist he was and how much he achieved with just one arm. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Nathan will forever be known as Hoss to so many and his love for his God and country was like no other. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions can be made to the family to help with the Celebration of Life expenses which will be held on Saturday June 5th, 2021 at 12 pm. The Celebration will be held at Great Oaks Banquet Hall, 13109 Wicker Ave. Cedar Lake, IN. 46303 Please contact Jason at (219)775-9714 to RSVP for Celebration by Wednesday June 2nd for food planning and any monetary contributions.
