Mary C. Gleason Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Gleason, age 95, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on June 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Mary was born on November 8, 1926, in Lima, Ohio to Geraldine and Edward Cardosi. She is survived by her four children: sons, Tom (Michele), Bill (Kathy), and daughters, Therese and Kathy (Ron). Mary was also a loving grandmother to Michelle, Kevin (Gemma), Katie (Cory), Ryan and Brittany and great-grandmother to Eva, Liam, Jacksyn and Pyper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bill, parents, Edward and Geraldine, sisters, Gerry and Bridine and brothers, Eddie and Jimmy, and grandson, Tommy. She was a teacher at Our Lady of Knock for 25 years. Mary was a devout Catholic, an avid gardener, loved to read and do word finds, and looked forward to her daily lottery ticket, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, 101 W. Burrell Drive, Crown Point, IN. Rev. Don Lewandowski officiating. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
