Janet G. Trembczynski Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janet G. Trembczynski (Makowski), age 69, of Crown Point, IN passed away on July 4, 2022 at home surrounded by family after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her loving husband David and her only daughter Niki (Shaun) Jacobi; her mother Genevieve R. Test; sisters Linda (Robert) Nomanson and Judy (John) Pavlovich; several nieces and nephews; and though she had no grandchildren of her own she had many honorary ones. Preceded in death by her father Julius Makowski, stepfather Louis Test, sister Joyce Bergner, and stepbrother William “Billy” Test. Janet graduated from T.F. North High School in 1971 then married her adoring husband David on September 16, 1972. She worked as a secretary at Calvert in Chicago in the 70’s but worked full-time as the best mother ever once her daughter Niki was born. She eventually went back to work once Niki was grown and retired from the Crown Point school corporation as an early childhood special education paraprofessional in 2012. She loved all children. She loved taking yoga and pilates classes at the YMCA in Crown Point. More than anything she loved her family, both two and four-legged! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held directly at St. Matthias Church, 101 W. Burrell Dr. Crown Point, IN on Monday July 11, 2022 at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to visit prior to mass at 10:00 am. Janet loved all things bright, so don’t feel the need to wear black clothing! Janet loved tropical flowers but also loved animals.
