Guadalupe "Lou" Franco

Guadalupe “Lou” Trevino Franco, age 69 of Hobart, formerly of E. Chicago and Gary, passed away November 5, 2021. He graduated from Gary West-side H.S., Class of 72. He was a Navy veteran and a member of American Legion Post 54 and AVMRA Ch. 13. Lou retired from G.S.D. as an electromechanic and coached Tee Ball, Little League, Pop Warner, Boy Scouts, and for the last 15 years, Hobart Girls Softball. Lou was a handyman and a jack of all trades. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents- Antonio and Dominga; siblings- Gil and Rosario; daughter- Kristy. He is survived by his loving wife- Gladys; children- Raymond (Sierra), April, Patricia (Eric), Tim (Nicole), Diane (Jeremy)Burger, Tom, Calvin (Melissa), Amber Franco, John, Lennon (Amy), and Jason (Susan) Reyes; siblings- Angelica Cruz, Antonio (Mary), Jaime Franco, Erma Perez; several grandchildren and extended family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart, IN, with an American Legion Post 54 service at 5:45 p.m. www.burnsfuneral.com
