Elizabeth J. Cole Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Cole (nee Kopp) entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 83 years old. She was the former wife of Norman D. Cole, Sr. and the loving mother of Norman D. Cole, Jr. (Johanna), Corinne Faulkner (Joe MacInnes) and David Cole who preceded her in death. Betty is the beloved grandmother of Stephanie Cole, Janessa Cole, Alisha Pearson (Cliff) and Jeremy Lane. She was the youngest of nine children of the greatest generation: late Hank Kopp, William Kopp, Charles Kopp, Gus Kopp, Fritz Kopp, Louise Zastawny, Richard Kopp and Marlene Tortorelli. Betty is the dear aunt and godmother to many nieces and nephews as well as a friend to all. She was a wonderful cook, was famous for many dishes but no one ever made a better apple pie and her kolaches were unsurpassed. Dogs, cats and all animals never had a better friend on this earth. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Pastor John Starr officiating.
