Darina J. Javorek

August 12, 1946 - March 7, 2022

Darina Javorek, age 75, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on March 7, 2022. She was born in Bratislava, Slovakia in 1946. Darina grew up in nearby Modra after which she completed her education as a laboratory technician. She met Marian Javorek at school and the two were married in 1966. Two years later they immigrated to the United States after the Russian occupation of Czechoslovakia. Darina made many friends and left lasting impressions on her community throughout her years. She was known for her warm and caring personality, her sense of humor and devotion to her family. Darina will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband- Marian Javorek, parents- Paul & Hedwig Solar, sisters- Valerie Toth and Alice Stangl. Darina is survived by her sons- Eric (Karina) Javorek and Derek (Carmen) Javorek, grandchildren- Ashley, Marissa, Alex, Jenny and Andel. She is also survived by many relatives in Slovakia, Canada and many friends from around the world. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.
