Christina (Tina) Gomez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Christina (Tina) Gomez, 53, of Merrillville, IN passed away on Friday, February 4th, 2022. She was born on March 15,1968 to her parents- Alvaro and Patricia Gomez. Christina was a lifelong resident of Merrillville, IN, and graduated from Merrillville High School class of 1986. She then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Purdue University and was later employed as a Senior Tax Analyst for Equity Lifestyle Properties. She is survived by her mother- Patricia Gomez; her three brothers – Al (Lisa) Gomez (with son Christopher Gomez) of Cedar Lake, IN; Bill (Tasha) Gomez (with children Tyler Gomez and Tayler Gomez) of Crown Point, IN; and Robert Gomez of Cedar Lake, IN. She is also survived by her Uncle Bob Gomez; aunts; Rita Royko, Argentina Garcia, Alma Villarreal, Olivia McDonald, and Maria Gomez; many beloved cousins. Christina is also survived by her best friend of over 40 years, Chrissy (Tim) Reddick of Crown Point, IN, and her “adopted” nephews Timmy Reddick (married to Chloe Reddick) and Christian Reddick (with Celi Hernandez). She is preceded in death by her beloved father- Alvaro Gomez Sr. Christina had the biggest heart and an infectious giggle that was hard not to adore. She loved the color purple, the Blackhawks, going to the casino, a good martini. She fell in love with every dog she met and loved spending time with her friends and family most of all.
