Celia Tinoco, of Hobart, passed away at the age of 73 on October 28th, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Gilberto Tinoco of Hobart; sons, Gilbert (Sandra) Tinoco of Hammond, Ernesto (Maryann) Tinoco of Hobart; daughter, Irene Tinoco of Chicago; grandchildren, Macy, Kiersten, Annalissa, and Ernesto Jr. Proceeded in death by her mother Irene Pimentel. Also leaves behind; brothers, Henry (Blanca) Pimentel of Merrillville, John (Maryann) Pimentel of Valparaiso, Mario (Elizabeth) Pimentel of Georgia; sisters, Connie Ramirez (Cristobal) of Hammond, Lupe Wacilewicz of Wisconsin, Gloria (Bill) Mojica of Crown Point, Maria (Jack) Gannon of Indianapolis, Irene (Jeff) Francis of Crown Point, Maria L.(John) Quiroz of Portage and many nephews, nieces and loving friends. Celia was a retiree of Material Services in Illinois. Her passion was being a eucharistic minister, RCIA sponsor, and having taught CCD for many years with the SS Peter and Paul Community. Celia loved arts and crafts, laughing, dancing, and margaritas. She was the true life of the party. She enjoyed road trips to Texas and spending time with the love of her life, her best friend, her husband. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will take place at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5885 Harrison Street, Merrillville, IN, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 10 a.m. Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) entrusted with arrangements. www.burnsfuneral.com.
