Ronald Joseph Frey lived a life full of excitement, adventure, and love. Ronald Joseph Frey, the son of the late Anthony Harold Jr. and Lorraine Mable Frey, was born on July 29, 1948, in Gary, Indiana. Ronald Joseph Frey passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, while surrounded by his family and those he held close to his heart. Ronald was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and dear friend. Ronald was a man full of stories from his life that he shared with others. Some of his stories were crazy but that is proof that he truly lived. His best stories were those that he shared of his childhood, time spent with his mother, the trouble he and his twin brother made in school, and the memories he built with his children and grandchildren. Ronald enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going off-roading, and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He also loved to crack a joke, sometimes, ones that would make you blush. Ronald enjoyed turning up his radio in the mornings and you could catch him singing and dancing to the songs as they played. Ronald was a man who was vibrant and full of life despite the many challenges that he faced. The most important thing to Ronald was always his family and ensuring that he knew each person was loved and cared for. Ronald left behind a legacy that will forever be cherished and passed down from generation to generation. Ronald once said, “if you go off-roading, never go by yourself because you may get stuck and need some help”. That motto stuck and what Ronald truly meant was never go through life by yourself because the only way to get through life is by leaning on each other and surrounding yourself with the people you love. Ronald truly lived by those words. He was a force to be reckoned with, especially when it came to his family. Ronald was a man who many looked up to. Ronald was united with his Lord and Savior, where he was reunited with his father, mother, brothers, and son, Michael, who had passed before him. Ronald’s memory is continued by his siblings: Donald Frey, Mike Frey, Bill Frey, Joe Frey, and Sharon Tutlewski; sons: Ronald Anthony Frey, Robert Wayne Frey, and Brian Edward Frey; grandchildren: Josh Frey, Kyle Frey, Eva Frey, Nathan Frey, Brianna Gardener, Sabrina Frey, and Wayne Frey; his great-grandchildren; family and his life-long friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ronald Frey on July 29, 2025, at St. Ann Catholic Church, located at 6025 W 25th Ave Gary, IN 46406 at 10:00 a.m., where his memory will be honored, remembered, and celebrated by those whose lives Ronald has touched.
