In Loving Memory of Nancy Williams April 2, 2025 | Age 83 | Hobart, Indiana With heavy hearts, we announce that Nancy Williams, age 83, of Hobart, Indiana, was called home to Heaven on April 2, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; Nancy lived a life rooted in love, family, and the simple joys that make life beautiful. Nancy dedicated her life to her family, pouring her heart into raising her three sons and faithfully caring for her beloved husband, Kenneth J. Williams, until his passing. Her love knew no bounds, and her home was always filled with warmth, the scent of something sweet from the oven and stories told over coffee and laughter. An avid lover of antiques, rummage sales, and baking; Nancy was blessed with the extraordinary gift of seeing the beauty in things others often overlooked, whether it was a vintage treasure or a cherished family photo. She held onto memories with care, always eager to share her legacy and the stories that came with it. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband; Kenneth, precious granddaughter Eva Marie Gallagher, her sister Leota, and her parents Lewis and Elizabeth Shelkey. She leaves behind a proud and grateful family. Three sons; Kenneth (Gladys), Dennis, and Michael. Grandchildren; Kenny (Jennifer) Williams, Amber (Andres Verduzco) Williams, and Michael (Taylor Barham) Gallagher. Great- grandchildren; Aiden Gallagher, Ava, Andresito, and Alejandro Verduzco. Brothers; Ralph (Lonnie) Shelkey, Ron (Pat) Shelkey, and sister; Darlene (Roy) Johnson. As well as her brother and sister in law, Jim and Lois Williams. Nancy’s legacy will live on in the hearts she touched, the traditions, she passed down, and the love she poured into each generation. Visitation will be held on April 10, 2025 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Hobart. Funeral Services will take place on April 10, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm with a procession immediately following to her final resting place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park in Schererville, Indiana. Though she is no longer with us in body, Nancy’s spirit will forever be a part of our lives- just as she always was, quietly holding everything together with grace and love.
