John Allen Huff

John A. Huff, age 79 of Lake Station, Indiana passed away on Friday December 15, 2023, surrounded by his loving daughters and grandchildren. John was born in Zanesville, Ohio on October 24, 1944, to Richard Anthony Huff and Alma Jean Huff (Johns). He was the second child out of four. John married Ruth Ann Harper and they had six children together, while John had one son (David Huff) in a previous marriage. Tammy Miller, Tracy Huff, Teresa Whitney, Tonya Middleton, Tina Baker, and Trudy Keith; with 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. John worked for LTV Steel Mill and ArcelorMittal in the Powerhouse as a Utility Operator. He loved to take his boat out to go fishing, he hunted, and worked on all types of things in his shed. He loved to work on his cars or his motorcycle, as he was a jack of all trades. John and Ruth Ann were married for 55 years prior to her passing in January 2022, they loved to travel and take their motorcycle on vacations. John was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Alma Huff. His beautiful and loving wife Ruth Ann Huff and his grandson Jonathan Hart, along with his best friends Thomas and Sandy Sims. He is survived by his brothers Terry (Sherry) Huff, Larry (Barb) Huff, and his sister Judy Gaunder (Huff); daughters Tammy Miller, Teresa (Gordon) Whitney, Tonya (Ron) Middleton, Tina (William) Baker, and Trudy Keith, sons Tracy and David Huff. John had 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will take place on January 27th, 2024, from 1pm-4pm @ the Hobart Moose Lodge, 143 South Hobart Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342.
