Preceded in death of his Parents Nikola and Milica Vasic, brothers Dusan Vasich, Vaso / Djuja Vasich, Nikola/ Vasilica Vasich, nephews Nikola Vasich, Gojko Vasic, in-laws Riste Obetkovski/ Anca Obetkova, Marija Cacovska, Metodija Obetkovski. Survived by his brothers, sisters, Kumovi and their respective families Todor/Jelica Vasich and family, Dragica (Vasic)/+Dusan Stancevic and family, Milan/Milica Vasic and family, Milka (Vasic)/Dragan Jovanovic and family, Kum Milos/+Maria Lukic, Slavko/Rey, and Kento Lukic, all decendents of +Dusan/Mica, +Vaso/+Djuja, and +Nikola/+Vasilica Vasich their families. Cherished and survived by his caring wife of 50 years Cveta (Obetkova) Vasic, revered by his children and their families, Jovan/Julie, Luke Vasic, Andja(Vasic)/Dino Tants, Angelina, Dean, Dario Tants, Djuro/Monika Vasic, Claudia, Liliana, Adrian Vasic, Ristina (Vasic)/Davor Polovic, Vinko Polovic, Marija (Vasic)/Mile Kovacevic. Survived by brother and sister-in-laws and their respective families, Kire/Luba Obetkovski and families, Josif/Mirijana Obetkovski and families, Jordanka/ +Boris Spasevski and families, +Metodija/Ratka Obetkovski and families, families of +Marija/Mile Cacovski, and families of +Kire/ +Trajanka Keremelevski Member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Schererville, Indiana, The Movement of Serbian Chetniks Ravne Gore Schererville Chapter, Retiree of Inland Steel after 31 years of service and member of the Full Gospel Businessmen. Born again of the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus 6-21-1975 at St Peter & Paul Church Columbus Dr. & Elm Street in East Chicago, IN Djuro enjoyed his family, always willing to lend a helping hand, visited nursing homes, and prayed for those who were in need. He was passionate about spreading the good news of the Bible and Jesus Christ. His testimony of Jesus Christ as his savior touched many people. Visitation will be held Friday February 27, 2015 from 4PM to 8PM with a Pomen Service at 7:30pm with V. Rev Dobrivoje Milunovic officiating. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St George Serbian Orthodox Church, 905 E. Joliet St, Schererville, IN directly at 10:30 AM. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery.
