David "Dave" Wright Frizzell

David “Dave” Wright Frizzell, 59, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on March 16, 2024. David was born on July 19, 1964, to Charles and Velma Frizzell in Hammond, Indiana. After graduating from Hammond Baptist High School in 1982, he went on to work as an auto mechanic for several years before joining the Ironworkers Local 395 where he provided 22 years of service alongside many friends and family until his retirement in 2012. David met the love of his life Joanne in the fall of 1986. They were married on June 30, 1990, and went on to have one son, Steven in 1994. David spent most of his free time outdoors. He loved camping, 4-wheeling, and shooting guns with his family, especially brother Dennis and son Steven. David also spent countless hours tinkering in the garage or working on cars. In the evening, his favorite thing to do was sit around the fire with a cold beer alongside Joanne and good friends Larry and Kat Baker, just laughing and having a good time. Other than being outside, David also had a love for music. He loved going to concerts with Joanne and listening to his 80’s hairbands. David was preceded in death by father; Charles Frizzell, mother; Velma Frizzell, brother; Dennis Frizzell, and brother-in-law; Ronnie Rouse. He is survived by his wife; Joanne Frizzell, son; Steven Frizzell, siblings; Donna Rouse, Sue (Tom) McHugh, Linda Frizzell, sister-in-law; Felicia (Allen) Cronin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Emily Frizzell, Hannah (Mitch) Taylor, Denny (Jenee) Frizzell Jr., Andy (Laura) Rouse, Libby McHugh, Amanda Cronin, Jonathan (Victoria) Cronin, ten great nieces and nephews, special friend; Jerry Quillen, and dogs; Ava and Shelby. Visitation - Wednesday March 20, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral - Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM, John Arroyo officiating. All services taking place at Burns Funeral Home 701 East 7th Street Hobart, Indiana. Interment at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana following the funeral service.
