Darrell J. Wright

A mountain of a man in character, quality, and personality, Darrell James Wright was brought into this world on March 4, 1950. Despite losing his parents at a very young age, he fought to find his way and he did, not only in life through success in business, but into the hearts of just about everyone he met. Darrell never knew a stranger, he left an impression on each person he encountered. He was gifted with so many talents, he could have done anything and success would have followed. A skilled carpenter, and well equipped for any of the trades, he was a master at bodywork, painting, and restoring vehicles. He built his business and his home from the ground up, the true definition of a “self-made man.” He lived his life in “old school” fashion, with integrity. His word and handshake meant something. Although he was cooler than James Dean and tougher than John Wayne, his heart was soft and compassionate for people hurting or in need. He fought for the underdog and believed in justice and was never one to judge another person. He garnered respect from everyone he encountered and he made sure other’s were treated the same. He lived life with a fire and passion that was incomparable to any other. He married Margaret, the love of his life, they had and raised 3 little girls, whom he spoiled silly. He lived to shower those around him with gifts that represented the depth of his love. His girls blessed him with 6 grandchildren, “Grandpa” to Chance and Nathan, “Papa” to Wyatt, Kate, Ruby, and Maverick. He took just as much, if not more delight in lavishing that love on his grand-kids too. Along with his grandchildren, he leaves behind his other half, partner in crime, best friend and love of his life, Margaret; his daughters and their spouses (whom he treated like sons), Stacy & Chris, Christine & Sam, and Jennifer & Tim. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Louise and his older sister Diane. He leaves behind his older brother Tony & baby brother Rome, along with his eldest sister Cathy, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and in-laws. As big as his presence seemed on this earth, his absence leaves a void that will never be filled. There’s no way that any words on any paper will ever be able to convey who Darrell Wright was, but if you really knew him, you already know that. He is and always will be unforgettable.
