Beth Ann Weber

Beth Ann Weber, 69, a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend, and most importantly, Child of God, passed peacefully, with her niece Carissa by her side, into the waiting arms of our Lord on August 9, 2025. She was born September 30, 1955, to Pastor Donald and Marilyn (Brenneman) Weber, in Gary, Indiana. Beth was preceded in death by her father, Pastor Donald Weber, her grandparents, Martin and Margaret (Hammerich) Weber, and Roland and Freda (Johnson) Brenneman, her Uncles and Aunts, which include Thomas and Dorothy (Weber) Vlahovich, John and Mary Lou Brenneman, and Robert and Barbara Brenneman, and cousin Patrice (Vlahovich) Toma. The oldest daughter of three cherished children in the Weber household, Beth was deeply loved by her Mom and Dad, who provided extraordinary care for her throughout her life. She was also very loved by her sisters and their husbands, Susan Christine (Weber) and Howard E. Buchholz II, and Paula Jo (Weber) and Timothy Underwood. Beth always enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Anne Buchholz and Felix Hilgers, Carissa Christine Buchholz and Shawn Hipsher, Martina Irene (Buchholz) and George Afari, Taylor James and Chelsea Underwood, Tanner Jacob and Sarah Underwood, and Christiana Beth Underwood. Beth had nine great nieces and nephews, Ashi, Anoushka, Clara, Ethan, Asabea, Boahene, Lily, Jack, and Isaiah. Beth also had her Vlahovich cousins, which include Carole (Vlahovich) Heisel, Diane (Vlahovich) Hinrichs, Thomas Vlahovich, Patrice (Vlahovich) Toma, and Fran (Vlahovich) Peavy, as well as her Brenneman cousins, which include Johna (Brenneman) Thompson, Craig Brenneman, Deanna (Brenneman) Hoehn, and Robby Brenneman, and other family members. Beth spent the first part of her life in Gary and then Merrillville, Indiana at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church parsonages. She then moved with her parents to the St. John’s Lutheran Church parsonage in Peoria, Illinois, where she graduated from Limestone Community High School. She returned to Merrillville, Indiana with her parents, when she was in her 20’s. She was dearly loved by people at both of these churches. She worked at a restaurant, and then with friends in her own community, eventually retiring. Beth has been cared for by many special people, throughout her lifetime, and her family is deeply grateful for that care, especially for each person that recognized what a wonderful and amazing person she was. Beth was part of Special Olympics, and definitely the best bowler in the family. She enjoyed dancing at many balls with her friends, especially those she went to with her dear friend Scott. Beth loved to read, work on word puzzles, color pictures, do latch hook, eat ice cream, visit, and sing. Her early church choir days as a child left her with a lifetime memory of songs that provided comfort and joy throughout the decades for her. Her faith in the Lord was always evident, and she was brave, even in her most challenging times. Beth’s parents, sisters, other family members, and close friends loved her deeply, and she will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 10-11am at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 13221 W. Todd School Road Glasford, IL 61533. Funeral Service will take place at 11am at the church. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery with a luncheon to immediately follow in the church basement.
