Patricia A Wands

Patricia A. (“Fee-Fee”) Wands (nee Prude), age 79, of Valparaiso, made it home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2023. She was the youngest child born on April 24, 1944, to James and Lura Prude in Gary, Indiana. Patricia retired from Colonial Nursing Home in Crown Point, Indiana in 2009 as the Director of Medical Records. Prior to her medical profession, she worked at National Can and Joliet Ammunition Plant in Illinois. She was an avid swimmer and held a position of Lifeguard during the summer months. She enjoyed her Pepsi and popcorn along with her favorite pastime of visiting various casinos, spending her last years at the Blue Chip Casino each weekend where she was truly adored by their staff. Patricia was well loved by many and everyone who knew her, knew her as “MOM” or “Momma Pat”. She was known to be a strong, independent, “tough cookie” of a woman and she instilled this in her daughters. She will always be loved and truly be missed, but never forgotten by family and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents-James and Lura Prude; eldest sister-Edna Mae Rucker; brother-Robert Prude. She leaves to cherish her loving memories- three daughters-April (Jordan) Boose, Mary (Jordan) Martin, Debra Wands-Ceaser; six grandchildren-Shantell Boose, Justin Jordan, Jo’Von Jordan, Tristia Jordan, Chanel Boose, Ashalei Jordan; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one God-daughter-Ileana (King) Green; sister-Hazel Jordan (nee Prude); cherished and loved until the end companion-Dan Feare. Due to the change in weather for this weekend, the location for my mothers after life celebration has been changed to Pennsy Depot Banquet Room, 2000 Comeford Road, Valparaiso, IN 46383, on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. As we know this is short notice, we want all to remain safe and dry during this event.
